Hello Melbourne!
The office is unpacked, the lab is being filled up and Kye and Jiaul are getting ready to come down and get some work done. So far, we've submitted an ARC grant, ordered equipment and chemicals, written some new papers, and now ready and raring to go. We are looking to recruit students at all levels to join us (background in engineering, chemistry, materials, biotech) on several funded projects.
Also, its great to welcome Imanda and Dan, who have started their PhDs this month at UQ in Brisbane. Imanda will be working on a novel distance-based in vitro protein assay, while Dan will be investigating what nanoparticles do when they are injected into cerebrospinal fluid.
Lots happening - its a fun time to be scientists.
